Customer Notice: Protect Yourself from Counterfeit ORACLE Flush Tail Lights

by Justin Hartenstein

⚠️ Customer Notice: Protect Yourself from Counterfeit ORACLE Flush Tail Lights

At ORACLE Lighting, our mission has always been to deliver innovative, high-quality lighting solutions that set the standard in the automotive aftermarket. Our Flush-Mount LED Tail Lights for Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator, Bronco, and other trucks have quickly become one of the most popular upgrades that we offer. Unfortunately, with that popularity comes the threat of counterfeits.

We are aware of unauthorized replicas of our patented tail light design being illegally manufactured overseas—primarily in China—and some of these imitation products have already been sold in the U.S. through unregulated platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and unauthorized online sellers.

We want our customers to know: we are taking swift and aggressive legal action to combat these violations and protect consumers from these fake copies.

ORACLE Lighting Has a Proven Track Record of Defending Our Patents

This is not the first time we’ve been targeted—and it won’t be the first time we fight back. ORACLE Lighting has successfully enforced its intellectual property rights both in the U.S. and internationally:

  • In 2019, a Chinese court ruled in favor of ORACLE Lighting, ordering counterfeiters to cease infringing activities and awarding damages. As reported by SEMA and CIPLawyer.net, the court found in our favor for unauthorized copies of our popular lighting products.

“This ruling sets an important precedent for foreign companies protecting their IP in China,” said Justin Hartenstein, founder of ORACLE Lighting.
SEMA News, 2020

  • Our legal partners at Vaudra International traced infringing designs from a Las Vegas trade show booth all the way to a Chinese factory—resulting in the shutdown of illegal production and seizure of inventory.

  • As highlighted by Sission IP Law, our proactive enforcement strategy includes both international litigation and domestic takedowns of online counterfeit listings.

We take this issue very seriously because our reputation—and your trust—are built on originality, safety, and quality.

What You Need to Know

  • Counterfeit tail lights are not manufactured or supported by ORACLE Lighting. They often look similar... don't be fooled by imitations!

  • ORACLE cannot process returns, exchanges, or warranty claims for counterfeit products that did not originate from us or an authorized dealer.

  • To ensure authenticity, only purchase from ORACLE Authorized Dealers or  Retailers. If in doubt, contact us before purchasing.

How to Protect Yourself

  • Avoid unverified listings on platforms like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or auction-style sites.

  • Verify the seller: If you’re unsure whether a retailer is authorized, contact our team to confirm.

  • Look for warning signs: unusually low prices, vague listings, or poor product packaging may indicate a fake.

While we strongly condemn the illegal and unethical act of counterfeiting, we also recognize that these knockoffs target only products that are innovative and have high consumer demand. That, in a way, is a backhanded compliment—but it won’t stop us from protecting innovative designs.

To anyone who may have unknowingly purchased a counterfeit product, we share your frustration. Our team is here to support you however we can and will continue to pursue all available legal channels to hold counterfeiters accountable.

If you have concerns or need help verifying a product, please reach out to us at info@oraclelights.com or 1-800-407-5776.

Thank you for supporting authentic innovation and helping us protect the ORACLE Lighting brand.
