Taking Control: My Experience with the Trigger Six Shooter Controller
By Terry Pritchard
When you start adding lights, accessories, and gear to your Jeep or Bronco build, wiring management quickly becomes one of the biggest challenges. I was looking for a clean, efficient way to control everything without creating a spiderweb of wires or drilling holes in my dash — and that’s when I found the Trigger Six Shooter Controller.
Let me tell you: this little unit changed the game.
Why I Chose the Trigger Six Shooter
There are a lot of switch panels out there, but what stood out to me about the Six Shooter was how smart and wireless it is. It connects to the Trigger 6 SHOOTER Bluetooth Controller, giving me full control through a wireless control knob and the Trigger Plus app. No running wires through the firewall. No complicated switch mounting. Just clean, modern control right at your fingertips.
Plus, it looks awesome and doesn’t take up much space.

The Installation Process: Easier Than I Expected
I’ve done my fair share of accessory installs, and I was honestly expecting this one to be a bit tricky — but the installation was way more straightforward than I thought. It would have even more simple if I did not already have a 6 gang switch installed. The most difficult part was removing that and all of the clutter that came with that. Here’s a quick rundown of what it involved:
🔧 1. Mounting the Controller
I mounted the 6-Shooter control box under the hood using the mounting plate that I already had installed. There’s enough flexibility in the setup to fit it in several locations depending on your build. The wiring pigtails and connectors make installation logical and smart.
⚡ 2. Connecting Accessories
Each of my accessories — pod lights, rock lights, rear lights, and an air compressor — connected to 8 foot leads with a waterproof harness. The wires and leads with waterproof connectors made it clear what went where. The solid-state relays built into the unit eliminate the need for extra relays or switches.
📲 3. Wireless Pairing
Here’s the best part: no need to run switches into the cab. I paired the controller with the Trigger Plus app and the Six Shooter rocker-style remote. The remote mounts magnetically to the base that I mounted just above the mirror in the interior — plus I can manage everything right from my phone.

Daily Use: Smooth, Reliable, and Customizable
I now have full control over all my auxiliary lighting with just a push of the rocker switch. I love that I can customize switch names and icons through the app, use stickers to label the switches, and even stobe or use as a momentary switch depending on how I want things to behave.
It’s rugged, intuitive, and feels like a factory upgrade — but way cooler.
My Jeep is used in shows and out on the trail. I love the flexibility of being to grab the controller off of the magnetic bas and have it in my hand to turn on lights as needed to show off – or more practically turn on lights to see in the dark.
Final Thoughts: Worth Every Penny
If you're planning a clean, modern accessory setup on your rig, the Trigger Six Shooter Controller is 100% worth the upgrade. It's simplified my wiring, eliminated cab clutter, and given me total control over my setup, both on and off the trail.
Whether you're running a few lights or an entire suite of overland accessories, this system is one of the smartest investments you can make.
