ORACLE Lighting LED Load Equalizer 50W/ 6ohm Resistor for Turn Signal Rapid Flash
Product Overview — Why You Need This ▼
Upgraded to LED turn signal bulbs and now your blinker is flashing twice as fast as it should? That’s hyper flash (also called rapid flash), and it’s one of the most common issues when switching from incandescent to LED turn signals.
Here’s why it happens: your vehicle’s turn signal circuit monitors electrical resistance to detect burnt-out bulbs. When a bulb burns out, resistance drops and the flash rate increases to alert the driver. LED bulbs are so efficient that they draw almost no resistance — so the system thinks a bulb is missing and triggers the same rapid-flash warning.
The ORACLE Load Equalizer solves this by adding the correct resistance back into the circuit, bringing your flash rate back to the factory-correct speed — without replacing your new LED bulbs or modifying your vehicle’s flasher relay.
The unit is housed in a waterproof aluminum enclosure with heat sink fins to safely dissipate the heat generated by the resistor during operation. Installation is straightforward: connect the two wires to the positive and negative leads of your turn signal circuit and you’re done.

How It Works — The Science Behind Hyper Flash ▼
Your vehicle’s turn signal system was designed with incandescent bulbs in mind. The flasher relay monitors the electrical resistance in the circuit to determine whether bulbs are present and functioning. When resistance is normal, the relay flashes at the correct rate (~60–80 flashes per minute). When resistance drops — as it does when a bulb burns out — the relay speeds up the flash rate to alert the driver.
LED bulbs are dramatically more efficient than incandescent bulbs, drawing a fraction of the current. To the flasher relay, this looks identical to a missing or burnt-out bulb — triggering the same rapid-flash response.
The Load Equalizer is a resistor wired in parallel with the LED bulb. It draws the additional current needed to bring the total circuit resistance back into the range the flasher relay expects, restoring the correct flash rate without any changes to the relay or the vehicle’s wiring.

- (1) ORACLE 50W / 6ohm LED Load Equalizer — Part# 5013-504
Installation Guide & Resources ▼
Connect the Load Equalizer in parallel with your LED turn signal bulb — attach one wire to the positive lead and one wire to the negative lead of the turn signal circuit. Mount the unit in a location with adequate airflow to allow the heat sink to dissipate heat. Do not enclose in an airtight space.
