A Smarter Way to Add Pre-Runner Grille Lights to Your 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma

Tacoma owners know the grille is one of the defining features of the truck's front end. Whether you're running a factory TRD Pro grille or an SR5 grille, adding pre-runner lights should look intentional and not like an afterthought.

That's why ORACLE Lighting developed vehicle-specific Pre-Runner Style LED Grille Light Kits for both 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and SR5 grilles. Instead of adapting a universal solution, each kit is engineered specifically for its intended grille, delivering OEM-quality fitment, a clean factory-inspired appearance, and simple installation.

Which Tacoma Grille Do You Have?

Our Pre-Runner Style LED Grille Light Kits are available for the two most popular 3rd Gen Tacoma grille configurations.

While both kits share the same amber LED appearance, stealth tinted lenses, and snap-fit installation philosophy, each version uses unique housings engineered specifically around its intended grille design. This ensures proper spacing, secure retention, and OEM-quality fitment without drilling, cutting, or permanent modifications.

Designed, Engineered, and Made in the USA

These aren't universal grille lights adapted to fit a Tacoma. Every component was designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA using CAD modeling to match the exact geometry of the factory grille. From the housing shape to the mounting tabs, every detail was developed specifically for the Tacoma platform.

The result is a true snap-fit design that installs exactly where it belongs while maintaining the clean appearance Tacoma owners expect: no drilling, no cutting, and no permanent modifications. Just a clean, factory-inspired installation that looks like it could have come from Toyota that way.

Stealth When Off. Bold When On.

One of the standout features of these kits is the dark tinted lens design.

When the lights are off, the tinted lenses blend seamlessly into the grille for a stealth OEM+ appearance. They maintain the clean lines of the Tacoma front end without adding visual clutter or bright-colored lenses that stand out during the day. Turn them on, and the transformation is immediate.

The amber LEDs deliver the classic pre-runner look that has become a staple of off-road and desert-inspired builds. The output is bright, clean, and evenly diffused, creating a premium appearance both day and night.

Whether your Tacoma is built for overlanding, daily driving, weekend trail rides, or show events, the grille lights add a subtle but distinctive upgrade that instantly changes the character of the front end.

Purpose-Built Snap-Fit Housings

The difference between a vehicle-specific product and a universal solution becomes obvious during installation. Each of the four amber LED marker lights is housed in a precision-engineered snap-fit enclosure designed specifically for Tacoma grille openings.

Because the housings are purpose-built for the application, installation is straightforward and secure. Once installed, the modules remain firmly in place whether you're commuting to work, traveling cross-country, or spending weekends on the trail.

This attention to detail is what separates an OEM-style upgrade from a generic lighting accessory.

Clean Wiring, Done Right

Good design doesn’t stop at what you can see.

This kit includes an integrated central wiring hub, allowing all four lights to plug into a single connection point. That means:

Faster installation
Cleaner wire routing
Reduced clutter behind the grille
Fewer connection points
Easier serviceability

It's a small feature that many customers never notice after installation, but it's one of the details that makes the installation process cleaner and more professional from start to finish.

Why Tacoma Owners Choose Pre-Runner Grille Lights

Pre-runner lighting has become one of the most recognizable styling upgrades in the off-road community. Inspired by desert race trucks, amber marker lights help create a wider, more aggressive front-end appearance while giving the vehicle a distinct off-road personality.

For many Tacoma owners, grille lights are one of the first modifications because they offer:

Immediate visual impact
OEM-inspired styling
Easy installation
Improved vehicle presence
A clean complement to other lighting upgrades

The best modifications don't look added. They look intended. That's exactly what these kits were designed to achieve.

The Perfect Complement to Tacoma Lensless Headlights

Many Tacoma owners are now pairing these grille lights with ORACLE's Lensless Headlights to create one of the most distinctive front-end lighting packages available for the 3rd Gen Tacoma platform.

While the grille lights provide the classic amber pre-runner appearance, the Lensless Headlights completely redefine the front-end look with a modern, open-concept design that eliminates the traditional headlight lens appearance. The combination creates a Tacoma that looks both modern and aggressive while maintaining a cohesive lighting design across the entire front end.

If you're looking for a complete front-end transformation, the combination of Pre-Runner Style LED Grille Lights and Lensless Headlights delivers a look unlike anything else on the road.
