If you're already running ORACLE Flush Tail Lights on your Jeep Gladiator, you know how significant the upgrade is over the factory tail lights. But there's one area where even the best reverse lighting has a natural limitation: the corners.
The new ORACLE Auxiliary Light Pods are designed to fix that. They integrate directly into your existing 5882-Series Flush Tail Lights, using the unused blind-spot sensor locations to add a second high-output LED to each side, pushing light into the peripheral areas that standard reverse lights can't fully reach.

Standard reverse lights, including the ones built into the ORACLE Flush Tail Lights, project light primarily rearward and toward the center. That's exactly where you need it most of the time. But when you're backing a trailer into a dark campsite, maneuvering around obstacles on the trail, or parking in an unlit area, what you actually need is light toward the corners. The areas visible through your side-view mirrors but beyond the reach of your center-focused reverse lights.
The factory blind-spot sensor locations sit farther toward the outer corners of the Gladiator than the main tail light housing. That positioning is exactly why ORACLE used them for these pods. By placing a second high-output LED at each corner, the auxiliary pods supplement (not replace) your existing reverse lights with a significantly wider field of illumination that covers the peripheral zones that matter most in real off-road situations.

These are not replacement reverse lights and they are not plug-and-play to the factory reverse circuit. That distinction matters, and we'll explain why below.
The pods install into the blind-spot sensor locations on compatible ORACLE 5882-Series Gladiator Flush Tail Lights. Because the Gladiator's CAN bus-controlled electrical system monitors the factory reverse lighting circuits, adding an unexpected load directly to that circuit can cause the vehicle to interrupt power, trigger fault messages, or result in intermittent operation. For that reason, ORACLE recommends powering the pods from a dedicated fused circuit controlled independently through a switch or controller, not tapped into the factory reverse wiring.
This also means the pods are genuinely multi-function. Because they're on their own independent circuit, you choose when they're on. Use them as wide-angle reverse lighting when backing up, leave them on as campsite or scene lighting when you're parked, or run them as work lights at a job site. Independent control gives you flexibility that a wired-to-reverse setup never could.
Since these require a dedicated circuit, here are the recommended ways to power them:
⚠️ Installation note: These pods require custom 12-volt hardwired installation. Previous experience with automotive relays, diodes, fuses, and 12V wiring is strongly recommended. Professional installation is recommended for customers without 12V wiring experience.

5882-W-PD: White High-output white auxiliary lighting for wider reverse and scene coverage. One driver-side pod, one passenger-side pod.
5882-AW-PD: White with Amber Backlight Everything in the white version, plus an independently controlled amber backlight on each pod. The amber function works as a rear marker or chase light during group trail rides, making your Gladiator easier for following vehicles to identify in dust, darkness, and other low-visibility trail conditions.

The pods are side-specific. Driver and passenger pods are not interchangeable. Both are included in the kit.
Switches, relays, fuses, diodes, wiring, connectors, and controllers are sold separately.

Are these replacement reverse lights? No. These are supplemental auxiliary lights that work alongside the standard reverse lights already built into your ORACLE Flush Tail Lights. Your original reverse lights stay in place and fully functional.
Will these fit factory Gladiator tail lights? No. They are designed specifically for ORACLE 5882-Series Gladiator Flush Tail Lights.
Will they work with all versions of the ORACLE 5882-Series Flush Tail Lights? Yes, they're compatible with all 5882-Series Gladiator Flush Tail Lights (as long as the vehicle does not have factory blind-spot monitoring sensors).
Can I install these on a Gladiator with factory blind-spot monitoring? Not recommended. The pods occupy the same location as the blind-spot sensors and cannot be installed while retaining the sensors in their intended positions.
Are these plug-and-play? No. Custom 12-volt hardwired installation is required. Direct connection to the factory reverse-light circuit is not recommended due to the Gladiator's CAN bus electrical system.
How should I power them? ORACLE recommends a dedicated fused circuit controlled via factory auxiliary switches, an aftermarket switch panel, a relay harness, or an ORACLE TRIGGER Controller. See the TRIGGER 4 PLUS or TRIGGER 6 SHOOTER for a clean, purpose-built solution.
Can I use them as work lights or campsite lighting? Yes. Independent control means you can use the pods for auxiliary reverse coverage, work lighting, scene lighting, campsite lighting, or recovery lighting. Whenever and however you need them.
What is the difference between 5882-W-PD and 5882-AW-PD? The 5882-W-PD is a high-output white auxiliary pod. The 5882-AW-PD adds an independently controlled amber backlight for use as a rear marker or chase light on group trail rides.
The Auxiliary Light Pods are the final piece of the most complete rear lighting setup available for the Jeep Gladiator JT. If you don't have the Flush Tail Lights yet, start there! Then add the pods once you're ready to take the peripheral coverage to the next level.
