Product Overview
The standard reverse lights in the ORACLE Gladiator Flush Tail Lights provide strong illumination directly behind the vehicle. However, like most reverse lights, their beam pattern is concentrated primarily toward the center and may leave limited illumination around the rear corners of the Jeep.
The ORACLE Lighting Auxiliary Light Pods add a second high-output LED to each tail light, using the location normally occupied by the factory blind-spot monitoring sensor. Because the auxiliary pods are positioned farther toward the outer corners of the Gladiator, they supplement the standard reverse lights with a significantly wider field of illumination - helping light the areas beside the vehicle that are visible through the side-view mirrors but may otherwise remain difficult to see at night.
Instead of adding external cube lights to the bumper or mounting auxiliary lights underneath the vehicle, these pods integrate directly into compatible ORACLE Flush Tail Lights. This maintains the clean, low-profile appearance of the 5882-Series tail lights while adding useful rear-area lighting in an otherwise unused location.
The result is better peripheral visibility while backing up on dark trails, around campsites, near trailers, or in poorly illuminated parking and work areas.
The Auxiliary Light Pods require custom 12-volt hardwired installation. They are NOT plug-and-play to the factory reverse-light circuit. Previous experience with automotive relays, diodes, fuses, and 12V wiring is strongly recommended. Professional installation is recommended for customers who lack 12V wiring experience.
