Your Guide to Summer Car Shows

There’s no better feeling than working hard to get the car of your dreams, and then sharing it with other gearheads at summer car shows. Summer is here, and that means it’s car show season! Car shows are a great place to bring your ride and show off all of your hard work. Even if you aren’t quite ready to show your ride, going to car shows as a spectator is just as fun. There are many different car shows across the country, and no matter where you are, there’s somewhere for you to have fun this summer.

Summer Car Shows: Preparation is Key

Summer is already here, and it’s time to get your ride ready for show season (or at least ready to look cool in the parking lot with your fellow fans). Before you arrive at a car show, there are a few things you should do:

  • Detail your vehicle: Detailing your car is an easy and inexpensive way to take any show build from a 9 to a 10. This is particularly important if you intend to enter a show with judges and prizes; you can’t afford to skip the small details in these shows. Detailing goes beyond standard cleaning! You should be sure to clean every single detail in your vehicle: Use toothpicks to get dirt from hard-to-reach crevices, and a q-tip to collect any dust that may collect in your air vents.
  • Bring your cleaning supplies: Nothing is worse than arriving at a show and noticing a detail you missed while cleaning your car, or experiencing something at the show that causes your vehicle to get dirty. If you come prepared with cleaning supplies, fixing these issues will be a breeze.
  • Get comfortable: Car shows can be all-day affairs. That’s why you should come prepared. Bring a tent, a cooler with some drinks, and whatever else you may need to remain comfortable when staying in one spot for the whole day. Not only are refreshments at car shows usually pricey, but coming prepared will allow you to enjoy the cars and the show rather than worrying about shade, food, or drinks.
  • Summer Car Shows To Check Out

Now that you’ve prepared, it’s time to go to a show. Different car shows focus on different types of cars, so it’s important to first consider the car you will be showing or the kind of cars you want to see, and find the show that’s best for you.
