Product Overview - Why You Need This
Upgraded to LED turn signal bulbs and now your blinker is flashing twice as fast as it should? That’s hyper flash (also called rapid flash), and it’s one of the most common issues when switching from incandescent to LED turn signals.
Here’s why it happens: your vehicle’s turn signal circuit monitors electrical resistance to detect burnt-out bulbs. When a bulb burns out, resistance drops and the flash rate increases to alert the driver. LED bulbs are so efficient that they draw almost no resistance - so the system thinks a bulb is missing and triggers the same rapid-flash warning.
The ORACLE Load Equalizer solves this by adding the correct resistance back into the circuit, bringing your flash rate back to the factory-correct speed - without replacing your new LED bulbs or modifying your vehicle’s flasher relay.
The unit is housed in a waterproof aluminum enclosure with heat sink fins to safely dissipate the heat generated by the resistor during operation. Installation is straightforward: connect the two wires to the positive and negative leads of your turn signal circuit and you’re done.
Sold individually. Most vehicles require (2) load equalizers per turn signal circuit - one per bulb location. Order quantity accordingly.
How It Works - The Science Behind Hyper Flash
Your vehicle’s turn signal system was designed with incandescent bulbs in mind. The flasher relay monitors the electrical resistance in the circuit to determine whether bulbs are present and functioning. When resistance is normal, the relay flashes at the correct rate (~60-80 flashes per minute). When resistance drops - as it does when a bulb burns out - the relay speeds up the flash rate to alert the driver.
LED bulbs are dramatically more efficient than incandescent bulbs, drawing a fraction of the current. To the flasher relay, this looks identical to a missing or burnt-out bulb - triggering the same rapid-flash response.
The Load Equalizer is a resistor wired in parallel with the LED bulb. It draws the additional current needed to bring the total circuit resistance back into the range the flasher relay expects, restoring the correct flash rate without any changes to the relay or the vehicle’s wiring.
An alternative fix is replacing the flasher relay with an LED-compatible relay. The Load Equalizer is the simpler solution when relay replacement is not practical or accessible.
Fixes LED turn signal hyper flash / rapid flash - restores factory-correct blink rate
50W / 6ohm rating - correct load for standard turn signal circuits
Universal fitment - compatible with cars and motorcycles
Waterproof aluminum housing - safe for under-hood and exterior mounting locations
Heat sink fins - dissipates resistor heat for safe long-term operation
Simple two-wire connection - connect to positive and negative of turn signal circuit
Compact dimensions - approx. 2" x 0.6" x 0.6" for easy placement in tight spaces
Sold individually - order (2) for a full front or rear turn signal installation
This is a single unit. Most turn signal installations require (2) - one per bulb location. Add the correct quantity to your cart.
Installation Guide
ORACLE Lighting LED Load Equalizer 50W/ 6ohm Resistor for Turn Signal Rapid Flash
Connect the Load Equalizer in parallel with your LED turn signal bulb — attach one wire to the positive lead and one wire to the negative lead of the turn signal circuit. Mount the unit in a location with adequate airflow to allow the heat sink to dissipate heat. Do not enclose in an airtight space.
All of our products are engineered and designed right here in Metairie, Louisiana. With over 15 years of experience building lighting for the automotive aftermarket, we control every step of the process - from R&D to final assembly - so you're getting a part built to a standard, not just a spec sheet.
Whether it's an install question, a fitment question, or you just want a second opinion before you order - pick up the phone and talk to someone who actually knows the product. No call centers, no scripts. Just people who know Jeeps, Broncos, Tacomas, and trucks as well as you do.
We don't make one-size-fits-all lighting. Every product is engineered around the specific fitment, electronics, and driving demands of the platform it's built for - so what you install is what was designed for your vehicle from day one.
Before anything ships, it's been run through real-world abuse - mud, vibration, weather, and mileage - not just a bench test. If it can't survive the trail or the daily commute, it doesn't make it to your truck.
We stand behind what we build. Every Oracle product ships with a manufacturer warranty and a team that actually honors it - because a good part with no support isn't a good deal.
Orders ship quickly from our Metairie facility, with tracking sent the moment your parts are on their way - so you know exactly when to expect them, every time.
